The Path Well Chosen- A Strategic Plan for Lamplighter

Designed to advance Lamplighter’s most prominent objective, The Path Well Chosen was designed to guide the institution in the areas of  students, programs, parents and families, faculty and staff, physical plant, marketing and communication, and development and finance over the next five years and beyond. The plan grew out of a strategic planning workshop in April of 2006, which included Board members, faculty, administrators, parents, alumni, and community leaders.

Energy Star Award

In 2003 Lamplighter received the prestigious Energy Star Award from the Environmental Protection Agency for its innovative improvements to the school's heating and cooling systems. The school has continued to win this award every year since 2003. Although the school is known for its expansive open spaces and extensive use of natural light, these architectural elements created many challenges. Instead of eliminating the vintage 1960's HVAC equipment, Lamplighter worked with 4-L Engineering and T.E.A.M. Solutions to update the system with a new control method that allows Lamplighter to monitor and manage HVAC operations via the internet.
