Assistant to Head of School                                                         

The Lamplighter School is seeking a full-time Assistant to Head of School.  Successful candidate oversees the Head of School’s daily operations. The Assistant to Head of School coordinates communications between the Head’s Office, internal divisions, Board of Trustees, and external constituencies. Primary responsibilities consist of providing administrative support to the Head of School and acting as a liaison to the Board of Trustees, parents, students, faculty, administrators, and staff. Qualifications include a college degree; minimum of five years experience supporting an executive or senior administrator; excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple assignments with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness; ability to complete work in a busy, high-profile office setting and deal with frequent interruptions.

Associate Director of Annual Giving                                                       

The Lamplighter School is currently seeking an experienced professional for the position of Associate Director of Annual Giving for the Advancement Office.  Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Associate Director has primary responsibility for coordinating and managing the Annual Fund and Alumni Giving program. Strong writing skills, detail-oriented, and the ability to work with staff and volunteers to plan and implement fundraising activities are essential. The Associate Director will focus on program development and management, direct solicitation of donors, recruiting and coordinating volunteers, communicating with constituents via phone, email, and written correspondence, stewardship of donors, event management, and database maintenance and gift processing. A bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in development, preferably in an independent school setting, are preferred.
