Extended Day Programs

Lamplighter offers several programs beyond the traditional school day’s hours. All programs take place on campus.

Before-School CARE

Before Care is an option for parents who need to start their days a little earlier. From 7:00 a.m. to 7:55 a.m., students may be dropped off early to play board games, read, participate in an arts & crafts activity, or play in the Motor Gym, supervised by Lamplighter faculty members. There is no fee for this service, but registration is required. To enroll, complete the Before Care Registration Form. For questions about Before Care, contact the Lamplighter Business Office.

After-School CARE

For families that need a full day of child care, we offer the Y (YMCA) program from 3:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the Lamplighter campus.  A wide variety of activities are offered daily by the Y staff such as arts & crafts, games, sports, and homework help. Families may purchase a punch ticket if they would like to use the Y for occasional drop-ins, or they may register their child for the full semester. Registration and fees are handled through the YMCA. View the 2020-2021 program flyer and the YMCA COVID-19 protocols for the 2020-2021 school year.

nightlight after-school enrichment classes

The NightLight after-school program offers an exceptional variety of classes for Pre-K through fourth grade students. Classes include dance, yoga, strengthening, semi-private and group music lessons, world languages, STEM, theater, chess, art, and so much more. Classes are offered each semester from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. daily.  Registration for fall classes takes place late July through mid-August; registration for spring classes takes place late November through mid-December. For more information about the NightLight program, contact Auxiliary Programs Coordinator Shari Krage.

Conference Child Care

Child care is available during our conference days held four times a year (August, October, February, and May). Any child who is a current Lamplighter student is eligible for child care during their parents’ scheduled conference time(s).
