The Lamplighter School was founded in 1953 on the principles that children are capable of extraordinary things and that early childhood education sets the stage for students to become lifelong learners.

Lamplighter continues many of the traditions of its founders while remaining open to innovations that help us better educate children for today’s world. Our school places a strong emphasis on rigorous education combined with a social-emotional program that emphasizes respect, compassion, creativity, and confidence.
