Ways to Give
Gifts of Cash or Credit
The most frequent method used to make a gift to the school is a personal check or credit card. Gifts of cash are tax deductible in the year the gift is given. Checks should be made payable to The Lamplighter School and should be mailed or delivered to the Advancement Office. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express and can make arrangements to charge a gift on a monthly or scheduled time frame. You can also charge your gift online by clicking on the Make a Gift button.
Pledging now and setting-up a series of payments may work better for you and your family. It might also help you to increase your total gift to Lamplighter. Please click the Make a Gift button to make a pledge.
You might be eligible for a matching gift from your employer. At some companies, current and retired employees can designate funds to Lamplighter the allow you to double or triple your gift.
Gifts of Securities
Publicly traded securities, shares of stock in a closely-held company, bonds, and government issuances may be given to the school. If the securities have appreciated greatly, you may find that you can make a larger gift at a lower cost than if the gift were made in cash. To transfer stock to Lamplighter, please contact Clayton Hollingsworth, Chief Advancement Officer. Stock gift instructions.
Planned gifts are a great way to support Lamplighter and the financial needs of your family at the same time. To learn more, please contact Clayton Hollingsworth, Chief Advancement Officer.
Tribute gifts are given to honor or recognize friends, children, family members, or teachers. Tribute gifts are accepted year-round. Tribute gifts can be designated to the Lamplighter Fund, the Media Center, or any existing restricted or endowed fund. The purchase of books at the Media Center Open House and the Birthday Book Program are organized solicitations for tribute gifts. Tribute gifts may be made by cash, check, or credit card. Tribute gifts celebrate the relationship individuals have with Lamplighter as they enhance the educational experience of our students.
