Endowment
Established with gifts as early as the 1970s, Lamplighter's first leaders saw a need to create sustainable, long-lasting support for the School. This led to the establishment of the School's endowment, which generates annual income, helping to preserve the financial foundation of the School. Lamplighter's endowment supports programs, salaries, and students, with the majority of the School's endowment being unrestricted in its use.
General Support
Faculty Support
Salaries are the largest expense item in the budget, and endowment support in this area allows Lamplighter to pay in the 90th percentile nationwide for teachers who hold advanced degrees.
Program Support
Lamplighter's research-based, rigorous curriculum is simultaneously wrapped in joy and discovery. Endowed funds are restricted to various programs that support teaching and learning at Lamplighter.
Student Support
The School values a diverse and inclusive school community. Endowed funds restricted to financial aid and student support provide funding for families that may otherwise not be able to afford a Lamplighter education. The School strives for families to have the full Lamplighter experience.
Endowed funds enable donors to establish a legacy at Lamplighter, supporting the School for years to come. Named endowment funds can be established with a gift of $50,000. Gifts of any size can be added to existing endowed funds.
