Family STEM Night

The Lamplighter School’s annual K-2 Family STEM Night is held each winter. This signature event is co-hosted by Lamplighter, the Dallas Arboretum, the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, and Southern Methodist University. The event is organized to bring a variety of STEM learning experiences to campus for our students and their families.

K-2 Family STEM Night enhances the curriculum and opens the experience to parents so that families can take part in the learning and fun together! The event is held on campus and is designed with several learning stations throughout Cook Gym and the Eastin Family Innovation Lab.

Students are encouraged to explore STEM-themed activities featuring topics such as invisibility, electricity, levitation, water power, and x-ray vision. Each station features a unique activity and learning opportunity.
