Endowed funds enable donors to establish a legacy at Lamplighter that will forever influence the life of the school. These gifts are invested and provide annual income to the school for the purpose designated by the donor.
Endowed funds can provide financial resources for a program, faculty compensation, professional development, facility maintenance, or student aid into perpetuity. These gifts generate annual income, helping to preserve the financial foundation of the school by making our operating budget less sensitive to inflation and giving us greater control over the rate of tuition increases, as well as decreasing our dependency on tuition to operate the school. In addition, these funds serve as an important permanent asset for Lamplighter.
Donors who are interested in making an endowment gift to establish a named endowed fund can direct gifts to several areas within the institution including Faculty Support, Student Financial Aid, and General Support. Contact Clayton Hollingsworth, Director of Advancement and Communications, 214-369-9201, ext. 354 for more information.
Some donors are interested in making endowment gifts but cannot establish a named endowed fund or are not interested in naming recognition. In this case, donors may direct gifts to a select number of currently established unnamed endowed funds. Contact Clayton Hollingsworth for more information.
