NightLight is Lamplighter's after-school enrichment program which is offered each semester.
Parents may register their student(s) for a variety of classes, including art, drama, sports, STEM, music, and cooking. Registration is available online and classes run for an entire semester. Please see below for class offerings for the upcoming semester. Online registration is administered through ACTIVE Works. Registration is open from Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., to Thursday, December 16, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

This class lays a foundation for those students who are ready to learn the principles and beginning technique of ballet and music theatre. The class will introduce basic beginning ballet steps in center time and across the floor. Basic stretches and terminology are also introduced. All of this is presented through a fun and imaginative teaching style along with engaging music so that the students can learn in a creative but disciplined setting. Introduction of the barre as well as simple choreography is also taught to introduce the students to the next level and prepare them for a musical dance performance.

Each session features simple cooking, tasting, and crafting activities tied to a different place or time. Children will explore foods from the past by mixing dough, smelling spices, and creating food-inspired art, all while building early skills in listening, speaking, and following directions. Through stories, songs, and sensory fun, Little Bites from Long Ago makes history engaging, memorable, and delicious for our youngest learners!
move & groove - dance fitness for kids

Where movement meets fun! This upbeat class keeps kids active and energized through easy-to-follow dance routines, games, and rhythm challenges. Participants will improve stamina, coordination, and confidence—all while having a blast dancing to kid-friendly music. A great way to move, laugh, and let loose! (Think: Zumba + HIIT for kids!)

Taught by acclaimed concert artists and teachers from the DFW Institute of Musical Advancement (DIMATexas), our semi-private piano classes offer young students a dynamic and nurturing introduction to music. Children receive individual instruction, learn music theory and history, and prepare memorized solo and duo pieces. We provide keyboards for class use, and students enjoy opportunities to perform in beautiful recitals and concerts. Students learn reading, rhythm, and memorization skills while building confidence and joy in music-making.

In Theater G.A.M.E.S. (Group Activities Making Everyone Shine), students will get to move, act, explore, laugh, create, and get the “sillies” out while sharpening their drama skills. Games and activities are geared towards teamwork, physical and vocal expression, and above all else, FUN!
